Despite spending time in ICU and them having trouble drawing my blood, the nurses and CNA’s were great. The step down unit 8D was also very good. Part of the problem is they limit the nurse to 20gauge needles. They should have smaller gauge needles available when necessary.
Nurses to mention: Charity Karen, Rebecca, Dustin, Michelle
CNA’s: Hannah (went above and beyond her duties); all the others provided wonderful care.
Thank you all.
Very informative staff. Told me what they were doing and why. Always tried to decrease anxiety level. Answered all questions in layman vocabulary.Courteous, kind, caring.
My husband had open heart surgery at Baptist Downtown in May 2026. Our experience was NOT good. Not friendly at all and acted as though they were there only because they had to be and only did the bare minimum, if that. When I was admitted at Baptist South, I was pleasantly surprised at how much better it was. The rooms were cleaner, every single staff member was SO nice, helpful, attentive, went above what was expected. The food was delicious. I just can't say enough about my experience.
The staff are over the top helpful in every way. Any question I asked or task I requested was immediately acted on and completed. I wrote some of the their names down but miss placed the note. The nurses on all shifts 10/8-10/26 were excellent in caring for me during my stay. The support staff were also just as attentive. They are to be honored also.
