I truly can’t thank everyone enough—staff and volunteers alike—for their kindness and support yesterday. Living on my own has been a good change but also a huge adjustment, and I miss living with my friends. What’s more, I miss my friends’ pets, as well. I knew I wanted to adopt a cat, but I had no idea I was going to meet my new roommate and bring her home in a single afternoon. Everyone at the BVSPCA was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable with my many questions and anxiety-laden personality. I’m so, so grateful I got to bring my sweet girl, Pepper (fka Pepino) home. Thank you so much.

We had a great experience visiting the Brandywine Valley SPCA, Kate helped us pick out our perfect dog, we named her Cookie, she’s a 1.5 yr old female, who now has a however home. Her brother Stuart (male cat) welcomed her and they are doing great getting comfortable with one another, we also have a 10 yr old who adores her. We are all pleased with the adoption process, and took her to the vet yesterday, she did amazingly well considering they had to clean in and out of her ears and administered medication in her ears. Now comfy in her new home. Thank you to the entire team and for what you do day to day! 😊

Everybody was very helpful and actually wants to see you go home with your forever pet, which is sadly not something you see at every shelter. I love that they had specialists to talk about the insurance and vet process as well. From walking in to look at adoptable cats, to leaving with my new best friend, i had a very positive experience!

We adopted the sweetest cat ever from them. Went he was sick the next day --a Sunday-- they saw him right away and gave us all the medicine he needed.
