My son was looking at possibly being held back. Huntington helped improve his study habits, focus in class, built up his endurance for study time and school work, and got him to where he needs to be so he won't need held back anymore. We went from crying just trying to get through one worksheet to him being able to study and do homework on his own. What's even better is that he actually liked going.
We live some ways away from the facility, and so, my daughter does virtual tutoring. Her tutor, Tracy, is so sweet, understanding, and helpful. She helps my daughter feel excited to learn even when things feel hard. Tracy cheers her on when she has successes and coaches her through any struggles. I wasn't sure how virtual tutoring was going to work, but Tracy has made it easy for me and my daughter.
It's obvious as soon as you enter the building that they team there is all about helping kids. The entire staff is smiling, kind, friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy their work!
My niece was struggling with phonics and spelling. After just 6 sessions, she was showing obvious improvement and she was getting 100% on spelling tests. When I asked her if school was getting easier, she said "YES!". She even looks forward to her tutoring sessions.
I am so grateful that she was given this opportunity!
I would recommend Huntington Learning Center to anyone who has a child that is struggling in school. Sam calls it "working magic" and I believe they are.
Huntington has been great. From the initial intake assessment to the tutoring session, we are very pleased with everything so far! Would recommend to anyone!
'The staff is friendly and keeps us informed and up to date on our granddaughter progress. The tutors seem to be connecting and helping our granddaughter improve her math skills and reading and writing skills and giving her confidence. They are willing to work with the times and make changes as needed.
Huntington has helped my son progress in fundamentals crucial to him catching up to his current grade level. Before Huntington Learning Center I was spiraling and had no adequate advice or resources to help my son. He's now thriving in school and is much less leary to ask for help and think rationally when solving problems.
