The gentleman working there was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I will definitely be back the next time I need to buy a bicycle or e-bike.
The Garmin 970 is an awesome watch, Cory at Slipping Gears is one of the most knowledgeable individuals I know about not only Garmin products but bikes. If you are interested in a quality bike or information on your choice about Garmin products he’s your man. Honest and trustworthy.
The staff at Slipping Gears was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Being out of state travelers, we were in need of a derailleur adjustment on our tandem before traveling home the next morning. Slipping Gears was able to fit us into their schedule and do the job. We are very satisfied customers.
I like the customer service. I love my Aventon bike and hitch rack pro, both of which Slipping Gears carried. I feel confident that my bike is serviced by qualified technicians, therefore I have no worries that my bike is always safe to ride.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had a feedback survey awaiting me from your shop as I had intended to send a note as soon as I got back Downeast.
This past Wednesday, I picked up an old, inexpensive Gary Fisher commuter bike on Facebook marketplace.
My first mountain bike was a Gary Fisher back in the eighties in San Francisco. I loved it; it felt like an extension of myself. It got stolen and it broke my heart.
I was in my thirties then; I'm seventy-five now. I know that this Gary won't be the same kind of bike nor will I be the same kind of rider. Still, I am thrilled to have found this bike.
So, when I popped in, moments after getting it, knowing that I couldn't abide those mismatched tires, I thought that I'd probably have to make an appointment or leave it for a spell.
But Richard and the staff treated me no differently than if I'd just bought a three-thousand dollar bike off your floor.
He was kind; the other fella was kind and Richard went right to work changing the tire, checking out my brand new bike, didn't tried to sell me a thing.
Armed with Allen wrenches, they struggled with what looked like an adjustable stem on Gary's handlebar while I strolled around the store and asked if I could take some mug, glass and sticker swag.
It probably seemed greedy--loading up with bling (two of each)--who doesn't like a freebee? I no more needed more mugs and glasses and stickers, but it wasn't greed, really. I just want to remember you; I just want to spread the word, say "I got you a mug...these guys were great. Go there, they'll treat you right".
Because you were great; you were what I admire most: you were kind.
And I am very grateful. Thank you. Very much.
(And Gary thanks you.)
They were friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely patient with my many questions. By the time I left with my new e-bike, I felt I knew everything I needed to know to start riding my bike safely and joyfully.
They have a nice showroom and a great space for test rides.
