I’ve used Sylvan for my son twice. The first was half way thru his 1st grade year when he transitioned from a Montessori school to traditional schooling. The second time in the 8th grade for high school math tutoring which he had to work on his studying habits taking the higher level course work. Sylvan helped him build his confidence back up. I would highly recommend it and wished all kids had access to Sylvan resources.

My daughter is engaged when she goes to Sylvan Learning. She receives great feedback on how to improve upon her writing whenever she brings a school assignment in to be workshopped by one of the tutors. She’s learning to strengthen her writing by using synonyms more often in her writing. She’s also learning how to incorporate more transitional phrases in her writing. All in all, she is becoming a better writer thanks to Sylvan Learning.

My daughter Chloe is engaged in all the activities that Sylvan Learning provides. She says that she enjoys learning there. In addition, she is discovering new ideas like facts and opinions when reading passages. Also, she receives reinforced learning as when the tutor presents comparison/contrast and word analogies. This reinforced learning validates what she has already learned in school.

I love the confidence my daughter is showing and the improvements that she's making. If you have a child that's struggling in a traditional city I would strongly suggest looking into Sylvan learning center you won't be disappointed.

I am very pleased with what Sylvan has to offer. Unfortunately, a lack of support in getting my student to scheduled sessions, makes it impossible for me to continue at this time. I plan on returning when the time is right. My granddaughter is nine years old and it was my intention to keep her enrolled until she finished grade 12. It’s less costly than private schooling but can be very beneficial. Chastity and Tony have been great in their roles. The patience and flexibility in doing all they could to make this work has been much appreciated. I’d recommend Sylvan Learning Center to anyone in search of a great tutoring program.
