Everyone who works there is extremely helpful and friendly. That makes a huge difference for any business to have employees who radiate kindness!!! We especially enjoy the Aqua Fit class with Jenna and Lisa. Those two employees are priceless.
Heated indoor pool, with aqua exercise classes. Zumba classes. Classes for older adults.
Suggestions:
1.Short, vertical grab bars in all showers.
2. Steps in SW corner of pool for a second point of entry & exit.
3. A basic ( no leg rests) transport chair to move injured members.
4. Contiguous rubber mats around pool deck from pool noodle storage to shower, to entry stairs. Only parts now have mats.
5. Replace some equipment that was removed from Circuit area upstairs- it was well suited to female members.
I like a lot about it. I enjoy the gym very much. I do have a few recommendations that would make it even better though.
First, remove the two old school unfiltered water fountains and put in a true hydration station. Cold, filtered water would be amazing.
Second, find somewhere to add at least one more landmine. There is only one in the entire massive gym. T bar rows are an essential back lift and I've gone full 60 minutes workouts without being to do them because the sole landmine has been taken.
Third, add a second assisted pull-up/dip machine. This is another popular machine where there is only one and it's often taken. Right next to it is a silly cable row machine that could go away, put the second one right next to the one that is there.
My last wishlist item would be a plate loaded incline chest-supported row.
Yesterday I came in to give proof of life so I don't get removed. The person at the counter helped me get my InShape app opened up, and it was successful. He was very helpful. Then I went in and rode a recumbent bike for a mile (in 8 minutes).
It felt good and made me eager to get back into my Tuesday morning routine with you.
Equipment is heavily used, but also well maintained. Staff is courteous and helpful. Most members will use equipment, wipe it down and move to another station. A few, unfortunately, will monopolize a station, often sitting staring at their mobile screens for up to 30 minutes or longer, without actually using the equipment.
