Our daughter started at Mathnasium in Year 6 and is now in Year 7, and we have seen a real improvement in both her confidence and ability in maths. The tutors are supportive, encouraging, and take the time to explain concepts in a way that helps her understand rather than simply memorise methods. She now approaches maths with much more confidence and is willing to tackle challenging problems without becoming discouraged. We also appreciate the positive and welcoming environment, which makes learning enjoyable. We are very pleased with her progress and would highly recommend Mathnasium to other families looking to build their child's maths skills and confidence.
My daughter has very much enjoyed walking by herself over the mathnasium which made her feeling empowered as she took ownership of her learning. She loves the autonomy and the fact she can physically see her progression in her personal folder. She feels Mathnasium is helping her progress her maths skills towards passing her gcse.
Really friendly staff, definitely feel they are in tune with the kids and want to make sure they achieve what is set for them, which is all I want from mine.
Regular attendance at Mathnasium has made a real difference to my daughter’s confidence and progress in maths. As a result, she had the opportunity to move up a level at school, which was a fantastic achievement for her.
My son started at Mathnasium at the age of 5. He was already a little sceptical about maths at such a young age and we wanted to help change that. He was quite timid at first, but the team were so welcoming, patient and encouraging.
The star reward system is brilliant and really motivates the children to challenge themselves. Just over a year later, he’s always excited to go to his sessions and most importantly, his confidence in his maths ability has grown enormously. We couldn’t be happier with the positive impact Mathnasium has had on both his skills and his enjoyment of maths.
I could not be happier with the support our daughter has received. She was really struggling with maths at school and had lost confidence, but since starting here she has completely turned a corner. She now goes in happy and comes out smiling every time. The one-to-one support and structured approach have made such a difference, and the staff are incredibly attentive to each child’s individual needs. Her confidence and ability have improved so much over the past year—it’s honestly been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I can’t recommend this enough.
I know this happens but maybe the changing staff recently caused a small bump but my daughter is still enjoying the lessons. I would say that now and again she says some kids talk a lot (not maths talk) and that can distract her from the maths. Maybe she also gets sucked in to the talking too but she at times does find it annoying. Maybe the tutors could monitor more closely at times.
My Dayghter who is 11 has improved so much and she goes in happy and comes out happy, the staff are so kind and helpful and child centred. I highly recommend
A welcoming and supportive environment with coaches who are clearly passionate about maths. Also, the feedback received is good and the progression is visible.
Our daughter has been at Mathnasium for 6 months and had her autumn test last week. She scored 76% which is the best score she’s achieved in senior school (she’s in year 9)
We think Mathnasium has done the following:
1. Increased confidence
2. Reduced anxiety towards maths
3. Made maths “normal”
4. Given her the times to work through concepts with support
5. Shown her she is capable!
We are delighted!
