We’ve been coming for 3 years and we love it. We now have a 5 year old and 21 month old in the programme. The sessions are really fun but they are also teaching fundamental football skills from the start. The coaches are excellent, full of encouragement and the structure is well prepared. Just the right balance of repeated games and new ones. We are big fans and recommend highly
Little Kickers age groups are perfect to keep children active and learning colours as well as football techniques.
When entering Mega Kickers or Mighty Kickers coaches need to be more engaging with the children. I found that my son was not getting much out of it as the sessions were slower, with more waiting around, and they did not understand what was being asked of them. I feel this is mainly down to coaches not being loud enough and enthusiastic enough.
Some of the techniques such as using the outside of the boot are too advanced for 5 year olds.
Adapting children into the phase of being more physical without fouling is a challenge, my son found that part hard but children learn things at different paces.
The coaches are very friendly and engaging!
Sometimes when merging classes together though it seems there are too many in one class and the experience for my little boy is not so enjoyable as he does not get the time to complete activities due to so many children
Coaches in Horley are definitely much more engaging now than they were a year ago when we had to drop out. My son loves it now, coaches speak loud and clear, make exercises fun for kids and make chats to children.
The coaches are brilliant and work incredibly hard to get all the children involved, making the sessions fun, engaging and enjoyable. They’re also really patient and understanding with children who need a little more time to build their confidence, which makes such a difference.
We especially love the Saturday morning sessions with Coach Ryan and Simon — they are both fantastic with the children and create such a positive, encouraging atmosphere. You can really see how much effort they put into making sure every child feels included and enjoys themselves.
We’ve had such a lovely experience with Little Kickers. My son had Olli for a few lessons over a year ago now, and he was absolutely fantastic, so much so that my son still talks about him now. We would definitely recommend Little Kickers to anyone looking for a fun and supportive introduction to football.
I have found Coach Maddie to be really encouraging and supportive and as a result have seen my child grow in confidence since joining Little Kickers 2 years ago. I like the fact that each week is different and my child loves the matches at the end of each session.
I like how the classes are really structured with proper drills and exercises but still relaxed enough that if your child isn’t feeling into it that day there is no pressure to do too much. The coaches are welcoming and enthusiastic.
