This was the first group activity of any kind we signed our two year old up for, and it could not possibly have gone better. Her soccer coach has so much patience and there were lots of opportunities for my daughter to make new friends.
The camp is tun well with adequate coach to kid ratio. My son loved getting a chance to play basketball ; sports leagues usually have a higher age requirement. It gave him a boost in confidence this summer!
My son loved the sports camp. However, he did the same camp last year and the swim portion was every day. This year, it was only three of the five days and we showed up to pick up my son from the waterpark and he wasn’t there on Tuesday. So we went back to the park where we dropped him off in the morning and he was there, but when we asked about swim for that day, we were told that the swim was only three days that week and that it was in the email that was sent to us. But it wasn’t, and we had No Advance notice that there wasn’t going to be swim every day. I feel like the communication was really lacking.
My son had a great time playing games with the other kids and really loved going swimming every day (that the pool was open). The coaches seemed great, we would recommend it to anyone and sign him up again next year.
Camp coach Mo was so kind and greeted our son by name everyday when he arrived. I appreciated how she adapted the course to include some cooler activities (slip n slide, sponge balls etc). Our kiddo had so much fun.
Unfortunately, my grandson is 6yrs and 3 hours was a little too long for him. And on day 3, the coaches let me know he was wondering around the gym instead of practicing. I appreciated the honesty and took him out after that. I look forward to trying again next year.
My son said the staff was great and he had a good time. We were disappointed that we signed him up for the camp specifically because it was a half-day swim camp and that was reduced from 4 half-days at the pool to 2 half-days at the pool. I understand there were staffing issues. On the days where they were at the field all day, we sent water bottles but it was so hot. Large jugs of water to refill water bottles would have been a good idea. Thanks for having our son for the week!
We wish it was longer! We loved the swimming and football. We liked all the coaches in Kalispell. They didn’t love playing dodgeball on the days they didn’t swim at woodland water park. Kids liked the walk to the water park. Hunter was the favorite coach but all were great.
