My kids started at mathnasium last fall and we have seen tremendous improvement in the understanding and mastery of math concepts. My daughter tried Kumon and hated it (and MATH) so much she would cry still shakes when we passed by one. Since starting at Mathnasium, her confidence has increased significantly. In fact, her testing scores improved by 37% percent by the end of her 6th grade school year and she tested in the 99% earning the Greatest Growth of All Time (GOAT) Award at her school. I'm grateful for Keri and the teachers at the Hyattsville location for their patience and tutoring approach. I highly recommend Mathnasium for those struggling.
Porque son una excelente academia de matemáticas. Los chicos disfrutan mientras aprenden de forma creativa y aplican sus conocimientos en la vida diaria.
My kids have really enjoyed going and learning more. They’ve become much more motivated to practice and improve their math skills. It’s been a great experience, and I’ve seen a positive change in their enthusiasm for learning.
Taking my son to the sessions changed my perception about the center and their dynamic to teach math. Hopefully my son retains all
What he had learned 😅 but you made it so easy for him to catch things that would have me taken much of what I could be able to have. I have to also highlight the customer service that Steve, also Ian and other gentleman that were very nice at every session.
We wish to continue, we now have to do our own ‘math’ and see if our son can continue learning more in your center environment.
Thanks!
Is the better school and the teachers the director is very kind and understand the possibilities of the family , God bless you. Al the mathnasium team.
Mathnasium is great - my kids really benefitted and now have so much more confidence in math! Keri and the staff are really responsive. My daughter really looks forward to going to her math sessions and has made friends there.
My daughter took her assessment test in October 2025 and scored a 43% in February she did another assessment test and her score was 89% . It has really helped my daughter alot .
My daughter loves Mathnasium, she calls it her "math club" and looks forward to her sessions. The instructors in Hyattsville are all very kind and encouraging. Whenever she needs help, they are creative with explaining new concepts in ways she understands. We get regular updates on what she is learning, and Kerri is so great to keep families informed. Their team has been so creative making special occasion parties that are so fun. The team at mathnasium hyattsville havd really made math fun for my kiddo!
My 10-year-old always loves going to Mathnasium which says a lot, given she typically complains about most everything else she is signed up for by way of extracurriculars. She raves about how nice and helpful the staff are, and is feeling more confident in her math skills in school. This is why we signed her up, because we didn't have time or expertise to tutor her in math when her school recommended she needed help grasping the concepts. She no longer complains about or seems to feel intimated by Math and that's a relief for all of us!

My daughter loves Mathnasium of Hyattsville. All the teachers are patient and kind, she is learning so much and is so excited to go each day! And Kerri is so inviting and helpful. I recommend to anyone who's kid loves math--or hates it and needs encouragement! They have fun games and activities that make it fun.
Amazing people there who are extremely patient and understanding. My daughter does not have anxiety with them and is motivated to learn complicated problems.
Mathnasium has been excellent for my younger daughter - it has really improved her confidence and excitement towards math. I have been really happy with that! My older son has had a different experience. The curriculum does not align with what he is doing in school and has not been a reinforcement for him unfortunately. Math remains his lowest grade. Kids are different and this is not mathnasmium's fault. I guess the lesson learned is that it is not for all kids and really depends on the stage of the student. The staff is kind and I appreciate it.
