Adding random players to the team without any prior communication. Member of i9 complaining about coach and now he is using his son. For a sport that requires teamwork it’s hard to get a team to play well together with adding new players consistently and able to be added after starting the season.
Not enough actual coaches and not enough gameplay too short practice is not set up well either the other flag football. My son played was completely different.
Same day practice. Experience a new sport without the stress of 4-5 night a week practice schedule. Coaches are knowledgable and sweet. Fair playing time.
Flexibility, variety, and scheduling are key. We’re enjoying flag football, which is played once a weekend. It provides exposure to the sport without a significant time commitment. I’d love to replicate this for other sports as well.
Previously, the focus was on development. This year for volleyball, the kids went straight into a game without ever doing any kind of assessment or even meeting their teammates, which is a negative influencer rather than learning and fun.
Game times with the running clock are not fully communicated with the players and coaches effectively. A game started at 3 and was over by 3:30.
Audibly heard one of the i9 admins refer to a team as the “one with all the baseball boys who can’t play football” and watched him pull another athlete to the side to let him know that he “wouldn’t get any better by playing with them” so he could be on a different team next Sunday.
I watched an i9 coach yell at his kid being coached by a volunteer last week. Undermined the coach then demand the kid force him in at qb. Very vocal about this and the kid then throws a interception and the coach rightfully takes him out with all the chaos and there’s only 40 secs left and the i9 coach tells his son that coach only plays baseball kids you will be on a different team I am tired of this.
First of all my son is on the team his son is on my son sat multiple times and never touched the ball. I never once would ever behave this way toward a volunteer who is helping my son. I found it to be very disrespectful and not aligned with the mission of the company to have someone talk to their child like this and then undermine a volunteer who is running the team while you are being paid. Consistent communication and timely updates, along with dedicated coaches who are genuinely invested in helping athletes succeed. The program fosters an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment where children can develop their skills, build confidence, grow as athletes, and enjoy the experience.
The program was very organized. The coaches were knowledgeable about the sport. They were knowledgeable and also able to teach the kids with patience, motivation and made the time fun. I loved the one on one attention and the small groups allowed for the coaches to be able make corrections. I felt very comfortable with them as coaches. My grandson will be back and I highly recommend this program, especially to anyone who have never played an organized sport and really need some basics to start.
I love i9 sports because it fosters a genuine passion for athletics in kids while giving them the opportunity to learn and grow alongside their parents. The supportive volunteer coaches and wonderful staff create a positive, encouraging environment where every child feels valued. It’s a great program for building skills, confidence, teamwork, and lasting memories.
