I’ve been going to Merrifield while PC is being refreshed and am liking it so much better than PC! There are teachers who have challenging classes and actually make an effort to learn your name. Plus you’re not right on top of your neighbor every class. It’s a bit far for me to make my everyday studio but there’s definitely a couple teachers I’m going to stick with when it reopens after the refresh!
I love that I can get a full workout in while also feeling relaxed by the end of class. It’s just wonderful. You feel great afterwards.
I’ve only gone twice so far, but I did want to share a suggestion that might help improve the experience for everyone.
I think it could be helpful to include a friendly hygiene reminder in the enrollment emails or class reminder emails, especially since the classes involve close proximity and sweating. There are showers available at the studio as well, which is great for anyone who may need to freshen up beforehand.
During one of the classes, the girl in front of me was wearing socks even though the class is usually barefoot, and there was a very strong foot odor. Since a lot of the exercises involve being close to the floor and near the person in front of you, the smell became overwhelming and made it really difficult to focus during the workout.
I completely understand these things can happen, but I think a gentle reminder about hygiene and class etiquette could help create a more comfortable environment for everyone.
I recommend to add class easy or hard level score to each Sculpt class. I took a Friday 11:30 am sculpt class, but it’s no hot and too easy for me. I didn’t not have regular work out as I expected from other sculpt classes.
I love how many classes there are all day long! I travel some and I cannot find anywhere else that has quite the selection. Also, your hpf is awesome! Nice and hot!! The instructors are amazing!!!
Locker rooms were nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Decent flow to the space, easy to find. Heat was appropriate for the class description. The teacher was knowledgeable and respectful of boundaries. She offered modifications to personalize and differentiate the class
