I like the "one-stop shopping" approach of Absolute Bikes. I buy the best bike I can afford, get a free fitting on the bike. I have bought my bike clothes and shoes at the store. All my tune ups and service happens the day of my request. Absolute has an extensive supply of accessories. But the thing that I most enjoy is feeling like there is always time with an expert to ask my questions and get the answers that make my biking experience better. At 71 years old, I need all the tips and confidence I can get. Thanks Absolute!
Needed an e-bike repair. They were my last hope. Met me at the door and they treated me like a friend. BIke was ready when they said and done right!!!!! HIghly recommend this shop!!! LJ
Dave took excellent care of me and my bike. I broke several spokes bikepacking the Colorado trail. He was able to fix the wheel and get me back on the trail the same day. And the bike ship on general is awesome.
Ultimately, this shop faces the problems that all small bike shops face. Razor thin margins on the actual bikes, so all of the stores margin must be made up in "shipping", and accessories. Water bottle holders that are 5-10$ on amazon for 25-50$, sales staff "forgetting" to mention discounts that the store offers that other customers got (the 10% off accessories for "some" discretionary period of time the shop refuses to specify, the free 10$ water bottle with your 2k+$ bike, etc). Store charges customers shipping even to ship the bike to the store, and even when its a bike the shop regularly stocks on the floor and would be shipping to the store anyways to restock it. Ultimately, they are the beneficiaries of being the only real bike shop within 30-60 miles, and most bike buyers (especially at this price point) will only be making 1 high-value purchase every 5 years, thus the shop must capture as much profit as they can on ancillary items and upsales. My issue is less with Absolute bikes, and more with the business model of small, low-volume, local bike shops.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Mike who sold me my Marin e bike helped me through the process and answered all my questions. He also got the bike perfectly fitted to me . It really was a pleasure buying my bike from Absolute Bikes. Thank for making the process fun.
Nick and Ryan were extremely helpful prior to and through the process of purchasing a bike rack and hitch. All of the staff was polite and helpful during the fitting, etc.
Everyone is very friendly and willing to help no matter what I need - trail advice, mechanical issues, products, anything at all. There are always plenty of staff available to help customers too.
Stopped in on Sunday, July 5th around 4:30 PM with a Wolftooth Resolve dropper post that had started acting up mid-trip. Knowing most shops start winding down on a Sunday afternoon, I wasn't sure they'd be able to help before closing at 6:00 PM.
The service team took it right in, quickly diagnosed the issue, and had a new OneUp dropper post sourced and installed with time to spare before close. They walked me through what had gone wrong and what to expect from the new post, which I really appreciated given I was mid-trip and needed the bike dialed in.
Great communication, fast turnaround, and solid technical knowledge. Can't thank the service department enough for getting me back on the trail. Highly recommend.
Ryan has been super helpful on all three of my visits to your shop. Courtney did an outstanding thorough mechanical update on my Fox fork, front hub rebuild, front brake pad replacement. Really appreciate the great service.
