I don't normally write reviews, but I've made an exception for Alf Jones because the staff so often go over and above for me. I can always rely on their stocked products being high quality; I know the guys would never sell me anything they wouldn't use themselves. When they order something in especially for me, it's at a better price than I could get online - and sometimes something I wouldn't be able to source at all. Sales advice is on another level - the team always take the time to understand what I need. They live and breathe cycling; they're super-knowledgeable and give advice that proves to be spot on. Even if I don't buy something when I visit, I always leave having learned something that will improve my cycling and/or maintenance experiences. Alf Jones is my first choice for parts, accessories and advice despite being an hour's ride from my house and there being several closer cycle shops. When my neighbourhood bike guy finally hangs up his allen keys, they'll almost certainly become my first choice for servicing too.
