I have only taken one class so far but it was great. Sadia is so knowledgeable about the body and the breath, even though I ve been practicing yoga for 4 years I felt like I left I was learning things for the first time.
Everyone was very friendly and offered assistance whenever needed. Access was clear any easy and no one was forcing us to join right at the door. The space was clean and well organized and the teacher was great
Great knowledge and energy at Align Brooklyn. All the instructors are outstanding and the chiropractor, Dr. Christopher Brown, who is also an instructor, is so caring -- a natural born healer--who teaches us all how to take better care of ourselves. Favorite class: kick butt and energizing Align class on Saturday's at 9:30 a.m., which Dr Brown teaches.
I like the variety of classes offered and the integration of health with the overall services. The discussions and workshops are generally interesting. The fact that Dr Browns practice is there means that any questions on pain, posture, or other issues have an expert on hand to consult with which is different form most gyms. There is a common thread of science and research being applied to the class content that I like. lt also feels like a community - I've met more people in the neighborhood through here than anything else I do in Brooklyn. There are some fantastic instructors - Chris's Sat class, Sarah's classes, Cat's align yoga, Kat's morning classes and now Chris Burke in the rotation.
I got personal attention from the teacher, which I really appreciated. The teacher demonstrated the poses well, and cared whether you were in them correctly and whether you were comfortable. I felt great after the class and am excited to go back.
I'm a big fan of Cat murcek, the staff, the vibe, and the facility.
I usually attend Cat's Tuesday 9:30am wall yoga class. My girlfriend, Lisa Kanbar, and I have a conversation with Pam after last week's class. The more I think about it, the less enthusiastic I am about attending a split class. It was a bit chaotic, with too much time hanging out waiting for instruction, or corrections. It's more important to me to have a unified class where everyone is doing the same poses at the same time then to have access to the wall.
