I will continue to recomend AmeriGas to anyone who questions me about my propane service...However there are several things that I do not like and have continued to complain about over the years I have been a customer....Every year when I fill my large tank, you continue to make me contact other companies to see what rate I can get rather than give me the best off the first time I call... WHY.... This year, with all the medical issues my wife has been going thru I received a special rate coupon from the nice ladies I talk to when I call... I screwed up last July when I ordered instead of waiting until Aug like usual... It knocked me out of the monthly program...Instead I paid 97.00 per month...Then this year again due to my wifes health issues I waiting until mid Sept to order...MY BAD... Should have ordered before the Hurricanes down south...I'm very happy with my special rate, but at the same time SHOCKED... This was 80 cents a gallon more than I usually pay to fill my 1200 gallon tank... Also, several times this past year someone other than myself mentioned that they smelled propane...When I checked my level in mid Sept, and found it just a hair over 100 gallons, I assumed that must be a leak considering what others had mentioned and my smelling it as well. I was not aware I would be charged 65.00 to have it checked. Later I realized that the two month later fill date was the reason for the lower amount of fuel in my tank. I FEEL REALLY SORRY FOR OTHERS WHO ARE PAYING THE ALMOST 4.00 PER GALLON THAT I WAS TOLD IS THE GOING RATE NOW...For several years now I have not had to pay anything or very little for the annual fill up due to paying ahead on the plan or as I did after I knocked myself off the plan for filling early...This is a huge dent in my budget.After I called to request finishing my fill, my original driver ran out before my tank was full, an appointment was made for a couple days later and fuel was delivered and all is well here...THIS TURNED OUT TO BE LONGER THAN I THOUGHT... I LIKE YOUR COMPANY, BUT AS MENTIONED THERE ARE SEVERAL THINGS THAT COULD BE DONE BETTER IN MY OPINION TO SERVICE LONG TIME CUSTOMERS...DON'T GIVE US THE COMPANY LINE CRAP, JUST DO THE BEST RATE YOU CAN DO THE FIRST TIME, AND AT LEAST LET US KNOW IF THERE IS A CHARGE TO CHECK FOR LEAKS...I HATE PG&E, BUT THEY DON'T OR DIDN'T CHARGE TO CHECK FOR LEAKS LAST TIME I USED THEM FOR NATURAL GAS..
