I needed HEAP and was turned away by multiple providers because I couldn't pass a credit check and had no account. (after leaving an abusive husband, my credit was destroyed and I was starting out at square one) Other places were very nonchalant about my situation and I felt like I could hear them saying "get a job and pay your bills - looser" - The staff at AmeriGas were very accommodating and helped me get the HEAP I needed. They treated me like a regular paying customer and I never felt ashamed or unworthy. After nearly 2 years without a furnace, being told there was nothing anyone could do. AmeriGas gave me an account number and I now have heat. Thank you so much to the staff who helped me!
