I know that it is standard practice to have many people in each class, but personally, I often choose Togo to other studios where I know that I will have more room and I won't have to be two inches from someone else's mat. I like your teachers and class offerings better than some of the other studios, but I wish there were less people in each of your classes. And more bathrooms available for women. :)
A very helpful' friendly staff. The studio is always very clean. The instructors are very alert & knowledgeable. I have come a long ways in s short time there. and have long ways to go. I have really enjoyed all my visit there. And they are very challenging.
Everyone who works at the studio is welcoming with a big smile on their face. It makes it easy for new students to feel at home. I also appreciate how clean the studio and bathrooms are. I have been in studios where the floors are dusty and look as if they haven't been swept in weeks. No one wants to practice on a dirty floor! Anchorage yoga does a great job keeping the facilities clean and comfortable for yogis to practice. Also love the shower availability (free towels, shampoo, etc.). The quality of the classes is impressive. The teachers are all very knowledgeable and make classes fun and interesting.
I waited 45 minutes to have a broken locker opened after a hot yoga class. two staff members were present. the one who opened the locker chose to scan people in for a class while I waited in wet clothes, then could not find the tools to open the locker, then called and asked where the tools were to open the locker. THis all happened without anyone checking in with me to tell me what was being done to open the locker. we finally forced (pulled) the locker open. I was quite cold and shivering by this time. The staff person gave me one free pass ($17.00) for 45 minutes of my (now quite miserable) time. I'm a professional ~ my time is worth a little more than $17.00. A "movie pass" is a cheap trick - I've used it in one of my own businesses. The cost to AY of this is a year of yoga revenue. We all know the rule - a satified customer tells 2 and an unsatisfied customer tells their story to 6. You are in luck - I've only told my family.
How to fix this: NEVER let a customer wait cold for 45 minutes and don't insult a middle aged person by handing them a $17.00 pass - save that for the slightly employed people
