The general manager, Alaysha, has truly changed things for the better. My girls absolutely love and adore their swim instructor, Coach Ari. As a mom, it means everything to me to feel safe and confident knowing my children are learning from people who genuinely care about them.

This is the second year my kid has been attending Aqua tots. The first year was very disappointing, coaches kept changing for the same session times and it took my kid almost the whole year to move to next level. This was because coaches changed and the teaching level changed. Now for the past few months, my kid has been working with coach Audrey and the experience is now extremely positive. Coach Audrey is extremely focused and consistently working with her has proved really beneficial as she understands my kid’s strengths and weaknesses better. Also Coach Audrey builds on top of the work she has been doing in the previous session and that helps big time, small improvements in each session leads to big improvement over time.

The experience varies greatly dependeing on instructor, and this increases the chances of there being an instructor that can work for everyone. I was initially disappointed that Coach Gabby was not able to teach our regular class anymore due to her schedule (she's great! best of luck to her HS endeavors), but I am happy with classes with Coach Christian. Coach Christian has a teaching style that differs the most compared to other instructors because more feedback is provided during the class, as opposed to how other instructors generally just provide feedback at the end of class. Receiving feedback during class is useful and allows for faster improvements. (I bet Coach Christian would be a great swim team coach!) I could see how this instruction style could overwhelm some participants or why some participants would prefer a more bubbly personality, but personally, this is more in line with what I would like to accomplish with my toddler. Coach Christian also gives tips that I have not heard from other instructors, such as having toddler hold onto a ring during back floats. I also like that I do not HAVE to download an app and can text to make schedule changes. There's an app for everything nowadays, and I'm tired of it. I appreciate the human communication via text. It is easy to cancel a class and accrue makeup lessons without worrying about expiration. The flexibility is great.
