AMIS is a wonderful school. I had heard about Montessori Schools online and thankfully found one close to our home. The first thing I noticed was how welcoming the community was. The Class leads, head of school and everyone were always available, happy and most importantly friendly. We noticed a great difference in our daughter after a few months. She was more articulate and expressed interest in doing chores around the house. She would make our beds, ask to do dishes and clean up after herself. There were many activities she engaged in at school - flower making, arts and crafts and for international day she learnt about Indian culture. I like the fact that AMIS has snacks available for the kids as well as Fruit daily.
I will suggest the school works on the cleanliness of the potty - I suggested the use of the class leads helping little children set up disposable seat liners when they have to go especially for the girls. My daughter caught molluscum contagious while at AMIS. The nap time cots and liners hygiene could also be improved. I suggest having each child purchase their own liner with a name tag when they join the school which they can take home each week with heir blankets to wash and return.
Overall I would recommend the school to others. It is a good school.
Daycare at AMIS has been invaluable to my child's growth. He comes home every day knowing something new. I also feel an intense sense of community. We love AMIS!
We have been very happy at AMIS. We feel our child is well taken care of, and thriving socially and developmentally. We have recommended AMIS to many of our friends.
Our daughter has really grown intellectually and socially since she started attending AMIS. The teachers are fantastic and the administration runs the school very well and efficiently.
Great, structured curriculum from Ms Leila!
Last year's summer camp was not good, though. Also, AMIS is not very good at accurate billing, responding to emails, or processing payments.
My kid loves going to school. He is so excited about the innumerous projects he is doing. We were planning a vacation and he was particular he doesn't want to miss a lot of school days. that speaks volumes!
