From the moment that I started talking with Lukas, his passion for bikes was evident. More importantly his passion for finding a customer's excitement on a bike was what drove all of our conversations. I shopped all the other independent shops in town, but didn't feel that in staff elsewhere. They'd gladly point me to the most expensive bike (if they even talked to me), but I didn't hear what they liked personally about products.... not just a sales script. Lukas kept me (a legit gear whore) from going too far out of my price range when this was my first gravel bike. I never felt upsold or pushed on to something more than I needed... especially getting back on a bike is a big deal for me after 1 1/2 years on crutches after major knee reconstruction surgery. He made sure I tried multiple bikes to really get a feel for different geometries/materials/kits, and when I came back grinning we both knew when I'd landed on the right bike. Your shop didn't feel like I was bothering the techs with questions, and y'all answered all the geeky stuff I was genuinely curious about. I bought into your shop as much as I bought the bike, and that was all thanks to Lukas - he's a huge asset to your team!!

I absolutely love your selection of products and that they are all high-quality! All of the staff members are friendly and so extremely knowledgeable!!!! All of them are willing to help and answer any questions! Anytime I’ve brought a bike in for service it’s either done immediately or before the date estimation given. I have now bought six bikes from these guys and won’t go anywhere else!

Everyone at Bangtail is friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. They are willing to go the extra mile and more to provide good service and excellent advice. I ordered a bike from them long distance over the phone. They assembled it and stored it for me until I could travel to Bozeman to pick it up. They made adjustments that I requested. When I needed to ship that same bike to my home in Phoenix, they took care of everything for me. I highly recommend Bangtail Bike and Ski for their great service and large inventory!
