The Benbrook Y offers multiple healthy activities in a very welcoming, friendly, clean facility with excellent staff in the reception area & workout spaces. There is close, safe parking. I love the community-oriented chemistry shared by all ages, genders, ethnicities, faiths, & lifestyles which is rare in our too polarized culture. The cost of membership is reasonable & well worth the benefits physically, mentally, & emotionally. I reduced my overall score because the swimming pool activities & my own safety have been adversely affected by some inattentive, unprofessional, & late or absent lifeguards; I I've been assured those issues are being addressed.

I like the silver sneakers classes. Each instructor puts their own spin her class. I wouldn't mind if the class time was increased to 60 minutes. I would like to have more chair yoga availability.

It's not so much programs or activities. In fact, the one drawback is how the kids take over the basketball court during holidays. Otherwise, team members are nice, facility gets the job done and I've made friends by working out there.

I love the water aerobics classes that are offered at 9:15 during the week and the 8:30 class on Saturday. Though there have been problems with the pool temperature, the pool is a great place to exercise. The life guards are very good about making room for aerobics and lap swim.
