I always like the classes especially the new Body power. Though I think it would be better if it was for one hour. All the gyms I have been a member at allow one hour for their class. It is a bit of a rush otherwise.
- Staff is very nice and helpful.
- Instructors are great (specially Gosia -yoga- and Mari -aerobics, powerpump...)
- Very good vibe and energy in general
However, there are also a couple of things that could be improved a little bit:
- Clean the studio after the boxing class on Mondays at 8pm, specially taking into account that the following class is yoga where we are on the floor most of the time.
- More classes: pilates for all ages, circuits for beginners
A joy to walk in as the reception teem is what one would expect from first class hotel. Lots of classes to choose from and all the instructors are excellent.
The gym induction I received at John Orwell was amazing (Thanks Jason!)
and Roy's yoga class on Mondays at John Orwell is superb! Roy is very attent to any wrong movement/posture we may be doing and corrects us straight away, helping us to improve paying attention to what we do with our body.
Staffing:
The local staff are friendly and helpful. A family atmosphere. The management team are responsive to issues that may be raised. For example, they provided equipment and followed up on delays. In terms of repairs to facilities, they repair within a given timeframe.
Equipment:
Love the new equipment, it allows for a variety of training session, from free weights, running , boxing, and the classes.
Instructors:
Especially like the boxing, circuits ,step, aerobics classes. In my 60’s the instructor has a positive affect on my well being. All the instructors are of a excellent standard and is the main reason for staying at the gym.
The centre is not too busy, easy for the station and the facilities are good. The building is an old dockyard and it looks good. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
Teachers and classes are good, the gym can get very busy at times. If you could have a live feed (on the better website or app) of how busy the gym is that would be fantastic.
