I like the range of people that use the gym. It’s so diverse. People of all ages, with all levels of physical mobility and fitness, different backgrounds all work out and (hopefully) feel comfortable working out in the same space. It’s brilliant that so many different people are encouraged to exercise and feel welcomed and comfortable to do so.
I only speak out for the gym and the exercise classes , these provide great service. Good teachers and instructors. Helpful and professional.
Certain saunas are appalling and there's only 1 pool to go swimming in and that's always busy and noisy, dirty. Does not cater for nervous swimmers and there is no acces via ladders to go into pool, either put your head under the water to get by the rope or climb in and out via pool side, this is not good.
There are a lot of different classes to choose from which gives people a choice of coming back.
It would be good though to have more people at reception so we do not have to wait so long to get through.
I use the gym and a personal trainer to improve my core strength. I was able to explain how M.S. effects my stability when walking. We have worked together once a week since August 2019 and I have improved not only core strength but also my general fitness so that I'm now able to run 5k for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The pilates instructor was helpful, she listened to us and then taught the lesson to address our health needs. She was thoughtful, patient and very professional. I felt rejuvenated after the one hour class.
I done a Ice skating party, the staff was very friendly and helpful my daughter had the best party and all her friends and parents commented on how lovely it was too. So thank you sobell will defo book again.
