We visited the 3 bicycle shops in Dubuque. Bicycle World was our first visit. We tested 2 different ebikes and Trek Electra Townie Go was one of them. It was everything that we were looking for and more!! We visited the other shops and they had nice bikes but nothing matched the Townie Go! Dave and the staff at Bicycle World were very knowledgeable and helpful. Always good to check all your options, and we would highly recommend checking out Bicycle World and the Townie Go!!

I was in the market for a bike and there are multiple shops in town to choose from, but I ultimately settled on Bicycle World for their service. The first day I stopped in I was with a buddy and our young kids. The kids were a bit distracting as kids can be, and my buddy and I both looked at different bikes and had different questions, but Kalyn was a professional—we never felt like a burden and they treated us and the kids well. I returned a handful of times over the following weeks to inquire and test different options, and again David treated me like he was happy to have me there, and I was not made to feel dumb for my beginner questions. He let me take out multiple bikes for a generous test ride on several occasions, and gave me several hours of his time over a few visits prior to making a purchase. I never felt pressured or steered, in fact he encouraged me to take my time and sleep on things more than once. When I settled on the bike that I was ready to purchase, I was told they were happy to get me into a good bike, but happier to have built the connection, and invited me on group rides, encouraged me to call or visit anytime with questions and reaffirmed that there are no dumb questions, sent me home with freebies, and the staff literally offered me food off their plate as they had picked up lunch that day… this wasn’t the shop I had bought my previous bike from years ago, I hadn’t yet spent any money with them yet, but they will be the shop I visit for all my cycling needs for the foreseeable future because of their extraordinary service. My sincerest thanks and highest recommendation to the entire Bicycle World staff who assisted me, for their time, knowledge, and hospitality—and great selection of bikes!

I had a rear wheel that needed bearings as they were falling out. I took the wheel to Bicycle World for the work and they were very professional, courteous, and fast at the service time. They have customers as far away as Chicago so you know this is the number 1 place to go for your bicycle service work or just a spring tune up. Thanks for the quick turnaround time.

Dave took care of my Lauf True Grit Weekend Warrior Wireless on the spot. It did a small rollover and the hangar was bent big time. He did a great job of fixing it and the bike shifts perfectly. I needed all the gears today and the Colesburg Back 40 which by far is the hardest gravel race I have done now in 54 races.
Thanks again Dave for doing such a great job fixing my bike at a very reasonable price.
