I had a great experience with BLUE MOON ESTATE SALES. From the outset, they were responsive, receptive and accommodating, taking care to meet with me at times that fit around my work schedule.
To be quite honest, the house was crammed with a lifetime worth of collected, curated items and household goods, and I thought it would be a Herculean task to price and stage each of those items. But Karen and her team were unfazed and confident, doing exactly that — and all in only 10 days (or less).
As I walked through the house the night before the estate sale, I was extremely impressed by the manner in which everything was staged and presented. The marketing for the estate sale was also brilliant, placing many pictures and descriptions of the items on a website promoting upcoming sales, leading to around 15,000 site views in the two days leading up to the estate sale.
On the day of the sale, the line stretched for half a block! Over the course of two days, approximately 500 to 600 people attended that sale, and about 75% of the items in the house were sold.
In short, it was an extremely successful estate sale, by all measures.
Karen Braun and her team are like a well dam-oiled machine. It is obvious that they all work very well together and work very hard to ensure a successful estate sale for their clients. I was, and remain, very impressed with them, and would refer and recommend them to anyone needing their services!

My cousin owns a home in Chapel Hill and I am assisting her in getting it ready for sale. The home was fully furnished and filled with a large number of antiques and collectibles that needed to be sold before we could move forward with getting the house ready for listing. I knew that I needed a top-notch firm to help me with an estate sale and Blue Moon proved to be just that firm! I found the team members, under Karen Braun's expert leadership and direction, to be highly knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic. The house required a significant amount of effort to get properly staged for the sale and the Blue Moon team did a fantastic job in getting everything ready for the sale. Karen and team took countless photos of items to be included in the sale and organized and posted them on the Blue Moon website. Her extensive efforts in advertising and marketing the sale resulted in an extremely successful event. I can recommend Blue Moon without reservation. They will do a great job for you!

Everything was handled smoothly and professionally. During a difficult period in my life (soon after my father's death), Karen and her team came in and took care of everything. I was impressed by how much they sold! I appreciated the good communication and the prompt sending of the check!
I had given Karen my only key to the house, knowing that I could still get into the house through the garage. However, one evening that my family was gathering at my dad's house, we realized that someone from Blue Moon had locked the door between the house and the garage, so we were unable to enter. I called Karen, and she was willing to drive two hours roundtrip on a Sunday evening just to give us the key to the house so that we could have one farewell evening there before the furniture was sold. I told her there was no need (I didn't know that she lived an hour away), but I greatly appreciate her generosity in offering.

Blue Moon takes the stress out of emptying a home's contents. It's definitely not a do-it-yourself project! They explain the process during their initial consult and once you are ready for them, they show up with a very organized team of employees who professionally stage the home and then conduct the sale the following weekend. They literally do all the heavy lifting before and during the sale. Plus, they provide you with resources afterwards to assist with items which did not sale.
