It's a good place with varied activities.
However, I was hoping to give some feedback on a few issues.
Women's Locker Room is a safety hazard for water on the floor. This could easily be solved with more mats that extend to the water extruder.
Water Aerobics is well attended. But we feel like the red headed step daughters. We need more aqua buoys and periodically noodles. We'd like our instructors to feel valued and to have classes Mon through Sat at (ideally) 8 and if not - then 9 am.
My husband and I started in September of '23. It has made such a difference in the quality of our physical lives since we started coming. We find that our health is better, we are physically stronger than we were, and a new group of friends has opened up. We love the Y.
We attend the Y 4 days a week and always leave the Y saying to ourselves, "So glad we did that."
The Y I utilize is Bob Sierra and I would recommend it to a friend because the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the facility is very clean. Plus, I love the morning workout classes.
The employees at the Y are there because they care. They are attentive to the members and show that they enjoy their jobs. They keep the Y clean and in good condition. The equipment doesn't get old and if repairs are needed, they make sure it gets done.
Friendly staff, workout area is clean.
I would not recommend the pool. I have been swimming at the Y going on three years and I am extremely disappointed with how things are handled at there. We have had up to 42 woman swimming and yet we cannot be given another lane other than the two we get. Why in the world can you not close the pool from 8-9 so WE can use it. You must generate a large amount of revenue having us. Even if you didn’t, we never feel like we are a priority, yet we have some of the largest classes at the Y. The ladies have often felt offended by how we are treated at there pool and the lack of teachers and subs.
