I took swimming lessons. Instructors are very good. But the cost for 7 lessons along with monthly fee (which is additional even if you pay for the lessons) is too much.
My child's experience with Coach Al helped her further her skills for competitive swim. Highly recommend this coach who gives individual attention even in a group setting.
First of all, the YMCA policy of free membership for nonagenarians (I'm 95+) has been a very much appreciated benefit.
The Bridgewater pool offers the best water conditions for lap swimmers; no other workout or exercise equipment except pool-related exercise.
The facility could use some upgrade in the shower room, but those of us who are "regulars" are content with a clean and functional facility. Extreme cold weather poses a problem of limited heat in the locker room. Extreme summer heat poses the opposite problem, since the facility is not air conditioned.
Again, we "regulars" accept these minor discomforts since we enjoy the pool quality.
The staff (desk and lifeguards) are courteous and friendly, alert to any member safety and comfort needs.
