When I picked up my dog Zeke and took him home he seemed a bit off. I filled his water dish and he wouldn’t stop drinking. He was incredibly dehydrated. After drinking that much he ended up throwing it all up. I could tell he was still dehydrated the next day. I filled his water bowl way more often and he has thrown up every day since being at the camp. I noticed on the cameras that there were no water bowls anywhere in their play area and I thought it was odd but that I might not be able to see it. Now it is confirmed that the dogs did not get sufficient amounts of water.
Buddy Bear normally attends the Highland Heights camp Bow Wow, but they were full June 9 and suggested Bedfore Heights. Buddy Bear stayed over night at the Bedford Heights camp, dropped off June 9, picked up June 10. He contracted Kennel Cough while he was there. He went to an emergency vet on June 16, and again on June 17 when his condition was much worse during the night. Buddy Bear had reservations for a 10 day stay at Camp Bow Wow in Highland Heights from June 18 - June 26, but since he was very contagious we had to cancel our 10 day trip.
I cried. We lost a wonderful trip that we had been looking forward to for a year. The financial loss we took, and the expensive vet visits were not worth a one night stay at the facility. I do not recommend this facility.
PS: Buddy Bear has had all of his vaccinations.
