My favorite thing(s) about camp:
My dogs get super excited every time I turn to go in the parking lot. So I know they must love coming here. They get to be dogs! And not "watch" mom all day. They are cattle dogs so they have lots of energy, going to camp helps get some of that out on days when I'm working and don't have the time to entertain them. It also helps socialize them to different dogs and people, especially our female who tends to have issues with strangers. This helps her get used to seeing new people, and gets her over her fears of people. Everyone at the Clarkston Campbowwow is just wonderful with both my dogs, and has been very patient and understanding with my anxious female. I don't know how we would of gotten thru the first year with her, without them. She was a tough rescue, no fault of her own.
Friendly treatment of pets and customers. My dog comes home with no stress or anxiety. Gets his meds. Gets fed. They call me with any questions about my dog while he is there.
The people were fantastic and kind. Although, please don't fib on the report cards... I did watch my pups on video and one barked her fool head off the whole time. Hopefully she will get adjusted for her overnight stay that is so desperately needed. The report card said she had fun. It didn't look like my pup, the other pups or the humans were having that much fun with her barking. But, at least I could tell she was safe and in the company of caring people.
The staff at CBW are awesome. They genuinely love dogs and treat each dog as an individual with respect and kindly deal with their fears and quirks. The staff is consistent and they do not appear to have a lot of turn over which I appreciate because my pet gets to know the staff and feels comfortable with them. I have a very small dog that was rescued from a horrible environment. She is fearful of people with good reason. She has been going to CBW for approximately 4 months and loves it, and so do I.
The staff knows my dog even though we only take him there once or twice a week. They are professional, courteous, and friendly whenever I arrive for drop off or pickup
The staff were very friendly and attentive to the dogs. My pet enjoyed her time playing with the other pets. She came home happy and tired.
We are booked to return soon.
The confidence camp bow wow has built into my dog is amazing. He loves visiting his friends and I love all the activities and crafts he is involved in. I can see how truly loved my dog is from the moment he walks in and is greeted with excitement from everyone!
