Response From Camp Bow Wow Memphis East
December 27, 2019
Hi Kendall and David! Thanks for your response. In response to your concerns:
1. In regards to the number of dogs in our play yards, we are a high volume daycare in the Memphis area and can accommodate many more dogs at one time than some other facilities in the city, which may be a better fit for you. Also, for the the month of December, we are at our busiest time because we are full for boarding a large portion of the month, so we do have more dogs than usual in our play yards due to being full. Atlas did interview the week before Christmas when we were booked up.
2. We do allow the dogs to play quite a bit at our facility. If you watch our cameras for an extended period, you would see that we do allow that. However, when play becomes too aggressive or rough, we have to stop them immediately to avoid altercations. Our cameras do not always tell the full story of why we stop dogs from playing as there is no sound and the quality is not the greatest, but we can guarantee that when they are stopped, it is for a good reason. Safety is our top concern, and when we feel that one dog is trying to play and another is not, or one dog is getting too rough, we have to intervene to prevent any issues.
3. We do have play yard equipment in each play yard for the dogs to run up on and play on or under, which can be seen on camera. We also offer splash pools in the warmer months for the dogs to splash around in. We do not currently offer toys or any smaller movable objects due to safety concerns with the dogs fighting over or chewing up and swallowing the items.
We hope you are able to find a daycare the fits you and your pups needs in the city!
