This entire visit was a disappointment and I don't think we will be back. I had an issue at drop-off with my little dog and then at pick-up I was told my big dog was not in the play yard because she is too anxious. My dog is one of the least-anxious dogs I know. That means one of two things: the current staff can't read behavior or something happened to my dog to make her anxious. Either way, I didn't pay for my German Shepard to be confined to a crate with little room to run around. I'm very disappointed, as once upon a time we loved bringing the dogs in.

Dear Katie, I am sorry to hear your experience fell short of what you expected. While I am not sure of the details at drop off let me discuss some of the possibilities which may have applied to Bo. Please know our first priority is for our campers, their "state of being", safety, health and enjoyment here at Camp. I understand you know Bo and I believe when you say he is the least anxious dog you know, and that is probably how he acts at home, on walks, if you take him to the dog park, playing with neighborhood dogs etc. Camp is different from your day to day life with Bo. Any "new" experience for a pup can illicit and unfamiliar response, one different from their "normal" behavior. For this reason we highly encourage first time boarders and boarders who have not been here in a while ( I noticed Bo's last stay with us was in January of 2015 over 2 years ago) This is definitely a "new" place for him, one he is not familiar with, we encourage our pet parents to bring their pup in at least one time if not a couple prior to their boarding stay so they are comfortable here, get familiar with the staff, routines, other pups and know you are coming back for them. These are some circumstances which could have influenced Bo's comfort level. If a camper is showing anxiety (which can be through a variety of behaviors) they are telling us they are uncomfortable at that moment in their situation, my team is trained to pick up on these behaviors, bring it to our trainer or management where we come up with the best play plan for the camper to make their stay here as comfortable and at ease as possible. When a dog is in an uneasy state they find security when removed from the situation and security in their cabin. This is not a punishment for the pup, it is to help them feel at ease. I do apologize we did not reach out and communicate our strategy with you while you were away. That is our fault, part of this process is to contact the pet parents and let them know of the play plan and why we feel it is needed for their pup, I am sorry for this oversight in your case. I hope I have explained and addressed your concerns. If there is anything else I can answer please contact me. Thank you for trusting us with the care of your fur-babies. Enjoy your day and weekend. We LOVE Camp Bow Wow! From the moment I pull in the driveway, Bailey is ready to go and play with her friends :) It's so great to see her so happy! The staff is amazing ... knowledgeable, professional and you can tell/feel that they love what they do. My husband and I are talking about adding another day so Bailey will go 2x a week in the future as opposed to just 1x a week!

Records that I know were sent by my vet (updated records) weren't found in a timely way. I requested a call as soon as the vet was contacted for verification; call came hours and hours later Neither of my dogs, who customarily take off without a goodbye to me when I drop them at daycare, are excited to head into the back area of Bow Wow....

Hello Marsha, I apologize your experience was less then excellent. I hope you accept my apology and explanation for these mishaps. When we are receiving vet records form a facility they are sent via fax which is then accepted in our system as an email. We recently discovered these faxes were being directed to the spam/junk mailbox in our system and unfortunately your records were among those emails. I have put a new process in place where we will be continually checking the spam/junk box to prevent this from happening in the future and to make the check in process less time consuming. Please accept my apologies. In regards to Rusty and Tucker not being excited to head back into the play group.. Our experience with campers who have not been here for some time may be a little reluctant when they come back. I see they have not been here since October 2016 this could be the reason they did not act as they did the last time you remember. The more frequent our campers come they understand the routine "they are brought to camp for socialization/fun time and they are picked back up". When it has been a while since their last play day they forget that routine. I hope this answered your concerns and as always thank you for trusting Tucker and Rusty in our care. If you have any additional concerns or questions please contact me. Sincerely, Tammy Thimm Camp Manager Camp Bow Wow Rochester tammy@cbwrochester.com 585-613-9247

Hello Kara, We pride our self at Camp Bow Wow to having a full staff on site which includes a counselor for each of our play yards in addition to a team lead, front desk coordinator, behavior buddy, assistant manager and manager on staff to make sure you and your pup are taken care of with the highest level of safety, cleanliness, additional services, and people on site. Most of our competitors have their front person double as a counselor which they clearly can not be interacting and monitoring your pup while they are answering phones, making reservations, talking with people in the lobby area etc.. We provide the best care and monitoring for our campers here.

Clean facility and friendly, comptent staff a plus. General location not attractive and not enough interaction from staff to encourage activity. Dogs really do not play...they just meander around.

Genuinely cared for my dog while she was boarded. I was nervous because this was the first time she was being boarded. They made sure she was comfortable and spent time to play with her. It was a big relief to know she was taken care of. Will definatly use camp bow wow again!
