Like I've said in the past it's still small that everyone is a small family from the wonderful front desk to instructors , barry the handy man , Shawn the director etc.
I’m a single mother of five kids and the Y have some many different sports my kids can choose from to gone and have a really good time with the coaches teaching them new things to get better at the sport they are so nice and all the stuff as well😍 thank y’all so much!!!
Like so many other ’90s kids, I grew up at the local YMCA, and honestly, I loved it. I still carry so many memories from those years that I’ll cherish forever. One of the things I appreciated most was the freedom to try so many different activities in one place—without fear of failure or the pressure of bouncing from location to location.
So when my daughter expressed interest in volleyball, I already knew exactly where to take her. It ended up being an even easier decision when we realized so many of her friends were already playing there. Over the past few years, she’s been part of multiple teams and has experienced different coaching styles, which I truly believe helped shape her into a well-rounded player.
Now, as we explore competitive club volleyball, that foundation really shows. Even without prior club experience, she consistently stands out at tryouts and is identified as one of the top players because of her versatility, adaptability, and strong fundamentals—especially when compared to peers who’ve only played under one coach or team.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities the YMCA has provided my daughter, and we’re looking forward to every season she has left before she ages out.
My daughter has really enjoyed the coaching and her teammates. I think the time of day is really good for us as well and its a great way to experience a sport before diving all in!
The YMCA Volleyball program at Campo has been such a gift for our family. Through consistent coaching, encouragement, and genuine personal connection, I’ve seen my daughter grow tremendously—not just in her volleyball skills, but in her confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem.
The coaches truly take the time to know each athlete, creating a supportive environment where kids feel seen, valued, and motivated to grow. That bond makes all the difference. This program isn’t just about volleyball—it’s about character, confidence, and community.
I would highly recommend YMCA Volleyball at Campo to any family looking for a positive, empowering space for their child to learn, grow, and thrive—on and off the court.
Campo has always been as helpful as could be to our family and offers a friendly and safe place for our family to be. Having an adult son on the spectrum and allowing him to be included with typical peers or one on one coaching, training, etc. is truly a gift.
