Amanda:
Thank you for your help in getting my brother, Thomas Bringhurst, into Sonata.
The intention was for him was to get him walking again after his heart by-pass surgery. He
called me earlier today and he was disgruntled, claiming no Doctor or re-hab nurse has
been to see him plus his precious medications were seized in particular his eye drops because his vision is fading and he needs those drops. This is his 8th day at your facility.
I got a call this morning from Sonata and whatever language she spoke was foreign to me.
Possibly Creole but totally impossible to understand. I asked her to have someone who speaks
English to call me back and no one did.
I did get a call from Marsha and she said she would check on Thomas. My brother is NOT
in Sonata to piece together jig-saw puzzles or play bingo. He needs to be able to walk
again.
Ay assistance would be appreciated otherwise Thomas can sleep in his own bed at his home.
Help !
I am in Melbourne at [PHONE NUMBER REMOVED] if Marsha could bring me up to date.
Thank You,
William Bringhurst
I met Amanda Babb at a presentation about care options for our loved ones. I had no plans to move my husband from his current memory care facility as he has advanced Alzheimer’s, but she kindly offered to show me other facilities with no expectations or pressure to move him. She took the time to meet my husband so that she could show me options that would be best for him. We visited 3 facilities, all of which were great options. She was available after the visits to answer all of my questions. In the end, I decided that that one of the facilities would treat my husband with the compassionate care that he had not been receiving at his previous facility. The move went very well and he is happily settled into the new facility. Amanda’s assistance did not end there. She called me afterwards to see how he was doing and visited him, as well. There are no words that can express my appreciation for the kindness that she showed to me and my husband during this very difficult transition.
