My YMCA, Carls in Milford, is great! I've been going there 4 times a week for 2 years. I am a 75 year old female and there are so many activities and classes I love. I don't get bored and I've met many other women who also come there regularly. The staff is friendly and the class instructors are fun and well prepared and the personal trainers are knowledgeableand encouraging. There is a pool, weight room, classrooms and a gym. Come join us.
Has all I need for maintaining my body strength. Friendly and helpful staff which sometimes are found in other workout facilities. Great kids summer program.
suggestion: currently the monday/friday aerobics class for seniors is probably the most attended class at milford y . I have canvassed several class attendees relative to adding an additional class on wednesday (same time) and all have expressed an interest. I notice that wendsday slot may be open ( currently only fill with open pickleball). I know pickelball is becoming more and more popular, but not so for the 70-80 year old members. Also there are many pickleball opportunities already scheduled for pb throughout the week ( for 60 and under). How about offering one more very popular senior aerobic class for the 70-80 year old seniors?
Drumstick class in the main 9:30 slot is not a good workout. Before it was nice to have a good workout to kick off the week.
Also it is detrimental to the knees. Wears out tendons and ligaments with short movements.
