I visited the Central Branch yesterday - and it was a great experience. I am, however, a more consistent user (and board member) of the Caylor Nickel Y and I would like to share that I have noticed more unclean areas around the Y (dust in the gym, hair in the shower early mornings - as if never cleaned the night before, etc). I know our Y has big plans and I appreciate that! I also encourage leadership to remain focused on these little details in an effort to remain excellent. I've shared this concern with Thom, and do hope that Metro staff keep this in focus.
I appreciate the Y - thanks to all the staff and leadership.

Julie, the group exercise professor is absolutely amazing! (I haven't tried any other classes but anyway, I have been exercising for 50+ years.) Julie leads the class, reads the room and is aware of the needs and the performance of each individual student, all at the same time. What a teacher! She is warm and approachable, an outstanding professional. The staff at the front are all dear, the people in charge of the upkeep do a wonderful job of keeping us all safe in clean facilities. I'm delighted with the Central Branch of the Y.
I like the availability of so many different types and levels of exercise classes, as well as all the options for self guided exercise. I like that it is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. And that I feel safe there. On occasion I have been, and do go to other Y’s in the city, and find the same environment, but the central branch is closest to my home.
