My son really enjoys the lessons and has made good progress so far. I like that classes are hold for 45 min compared to 30 min in other places; the ratio child/instructor is optimal to have personal attention.
The Live Strong program at the Y is great, and I highly recommend it. I feel fortunate that my cancer was found early, that I live in the Boston area with top quality medical resources available and that I found the Live Strong program at the Charles River Y. The program's structure keeps me motivated to exercise, and I enjoy the community of our group sharing knowledge, and experiences of our cancer journeys with each other. Our instructors, Katie and Anthony, are encouraging, positive, and very helpful in facilitating both the discussion and exercise routine. The Live Strong program at the Charles River Y is definitely a 10!
I'm very impressed with Jaehmar Paul and his running of the sports programs. He is making up rain date cancellations and we've seen him available and stepping in on first day of activities. He is very good with children and understanding how to interact with them on their level. I wish he can train some of the younger coaches. They need a softer touch and understanding how little these younger kids need to be coached. The coaches seem to be good technically, but need better instruction on how to teach little kids.
My daughter Bridget has loved the soccer skills and drills program! She has some learning disabilities and the program has been wonderful for her! It is a very inclusive program and the instructors have been patient and supportive of her. We love how happy she is to go to soccer every week, thank you for making it so enjoyable for her!
