My mother was very prescient and prepared for the future. Many years ago she purchased a long-term care policy to care for her when she could no longer do it for herself and to protect her limited assets. She also did due diligence on assisted living facilities in her area. She picked, which was at that time, Providence DiversaCare, because she is a devout Catholic. As her oldest son and POA, we want her to be content in her remaining life. We are concerned about the precipitous increases in her daily care fee at 102 years old. We need to get some consideration for that in reducing this considerable expense. Thank you
The staff are very polite and friendly. The therapy staff are knowledgeable and have a lot of patience. Food is pretty good although at times you don't get enough.
The nursing, ancillary, PT and OT and housekeeping staff are the best. I was treated always with kindness, respect and dignity. If necessary, I would definitely return to Charlestown Place at New Albany.
The nurses and aids are the best part. Ward nurse Melissa, LPN Ashley, Mike and Laney are very nice and communicative to the families about our loved ones being cared for.
I think the facility is very warm and cozy feeling. I like that there is a lot of activity is offered.
Mostly, I appreciate the kind staff and the way they care about the residence. And whoever does the seasonal decorations… Kudos to them.
I like that the staff keeps me informed about my mother's condition. Facility is clean, staff are courteous and helpful in answering my questions and concerns. The place is really nice and I think I have chosen well for my mother this time.
Mom is in the memory care unit and the medical staff is phenomenal. The unit needs a major upgrade and I understand that painting will be happening soon. My only complaint is the maintenance staff. When mom moved in there was a large pile of poop on the closet floor that we had to clean up. The TV needed a remote. After waiting a week, we purchased a Roku box and a universal remote so mom can watch TV. I have reported a continual huge puddle of water in front of the ac vent. We keep cleaning it up but it is a major slip and fall hazard. I have also reported mom’s roommate continuously taking mom’s things (even her shoes!)and putting them on her side of the room. But regardless of all of that, her medical care is what is important, and it is outstanding!!
Your nursing staff are very friendly and nice. Melissa who is ward nurse for 800 hall really stays on top of things. Nurse Mike and Ashley are especially good with communication for my fathers needs and requests.
