I've always loved the Y. It was a big part of my childhood because of the city I grew up in. It offered plenty of community programs and lots of benefits to lower income families. We just recently joined the YMCA of Richmond, but it has been nice to use the things they offer. The gym, the sauna, the pool, the child watch. Workers are also friendly and accommodating, to a reasonable degree.
The Aqua Fusion class has improved my health and sleep. I have made good friends in this group and we look out for each other whether at the Y or home. We are a welcoming class where you just do your best! My daughter and I joined the 10k training team which gave us confident to successfully complete the race.
I love that there are programs for people of all ages at the Y. I love that families can come together at the Y and there is childcare for infants. Then there are activities for everyone at the same time. I like that the Y is clean and I feel safe when I am there. I like that when I have a concern I can get answers and updates. I just love it. I've been a member of the Y for many years.
There’s a wide variety of activities for the young and “Super Agers.” The recent renovation of the Chester site is very welcoming. The robust environment allows for moments of reflection and relaxation after and before the workouts. Unity and community support as well as relationships are formed. There exiting the staff a desire for everyone to be successful in their endeavors.
