Code Ninja Chanhassen has been an incredible experience for my son—not just as an activity, but as a true community where he feels welcomed, inspired, and excited to learn. From the moment he started, he found a place where he could explore his interest in coding while being surrounded by supportive instructors. I can’t say enough good things about Kiersten and Jared. They make the code ninja experience in Chanhassen what it is * nothing but spectacular!
Beyond coding, Code Ninjas has given him a sense of belonging. He looks forward to every visit, not just for the learning but for the friendships and encouragement he finds there. It’s a place where he can be himself, figure out what he loves, and have an absolute blast doing it.
If you’re looking for a place where your child can develop valuable skills while having fun and being part of a fantastic community, I can’t recommend Code Ninjas enough!
My daughter really feels welcome and at home. She's learning new skills which are fantastic but probably more importantly, she's finding a community that accepts and welcomes her. She looks forward to code ninjas as it's a place she can truly be herself!
Great fun, positive learning environment, keeps kids engaged. Half the battle in forming a love of learning is creating an environment where kids want to be. Kiersten and Jared are the absolute best, and what makes this place great!
This program is one of the few that my son gets super excited about every week. The staff are amazing and friendly, and they go above and beyond to think of fun incentives to keep the ninjas moving up levels, like fighting dragons, drinking smoking health potions, and prizes each time they advance. The owners take feedback quickly to maximize everyone’s experience, and my son is learning so much. I love having him in a such a fun extracurricular that will pay off in such practical ways when he is older.
You care about each student! I have seen a significant change in my son’s engagement and satisfaction over the last few months. Hats off to your center directors (Jared and Kirsten) who are going above and beyond to understand and customize learning. To be honest, we had been with code ninja for over a year and were thinking of leaving. The new software is disappointing for the kids. For example, tonight my son worked for two hours and had the software crash and restart twice erasing his progress, and there is nothing that can be done. But Jared tried to cheer him up for over ten minutes with Pokémon card chatting which he loves. Pretty sure chats with Jarad are a major motivator to go, like a post coding reward! I also have seen some of Kirsten’s new ideas for the kids and they are awesome! This makes all the difference in kids resilience and willingness to try again. You have amazing directors who ask and continue to ask about our experience, listened and made small adjustments that made a big difference. In addition I see them constantly engaging with the kids, coming up with fun celebrations (mint wall trophy’s are now a thing in our house), and customizing interactions per kid. They deserve a pay raise!
I gave feedback that I wanted more communication from the program about my son’s progress and WOW did they deliver! The very next time we came into the studio they had helpful progress / feedback sheets for us updating us on what our son did in class that day and how it impacted his progress toward his goals. Also they got prizes to motivate kids toward leveling up and lanyards with pins to show progress, all of which really motivate my son. He’s been much more excited to attend since these changes have been implemented. Way to go!
Love Code Ninjas! My 5 year old has been doing it for the past 6 months and looks forward to every single class. The teachers are awesome, the community is great and he has been learning coding concepts in a very kid friendly way. Super excited for the future with Code Ninjas!
Our son loves to go hang out with like minded kids and work on his coding. With moving to impact, it seems like some of the senseis he works with are not as versed in that as they were in the old curriculum, but he didn't seem to mind because they can work out problems together. He also really enjoys the clubs and parents night out was great
I love the fact that my child not only is learning coding, but she is also learning problem solving and critical thinking skills. Bonus is that she also is making friends and personal connections!
