The sensai's are sooo good with the kids. They have so much patience. I am sorry I don't know his name, but the one that is in charge most of the time is phenomenal. He keeps the kids on track but also encourages them when they are struggling. I saw him helping one kid who was having the attitude of "I am too tired, I can't do it". He let him have a moment, sat there and talked to him, and then got him back on track and got him to focus. I know that sensai is college, I hope for the kids of this world that he is planning to work with kids for his career.
My son is not a sports kid. This is his "sport". He loves it.
My son absolutely loves going to Code Ninjas! He started on the Junior program which he excelled on and is now on the regular program which he is enjoying tremendously. He learns so much every single week! I am so thankful to have Code Ninjas Concord as part of our community.
I love how well the sensais work with the kids. My son just past his first belt and is on to his second belt. He is learning so much and was excited that the other day, the girl sitting beside him was working on something that he had already worked on so he could help her. Seeing him excited to learn and help, is so great.
We love the nurturing atmosphere, and that a parent can be present in the building while the child works, (making it possible for my neurodivergent child). My son’s confidence is growing from this program, and we’ve only been at it for 5 weeks now. So, so good!
Most other activities for kids are centered around athletics. This is one of the few where kids can use their intelligence in a fun and productive manner that helps them build skills and confidence for the future.
I know it's probably not ideal for everyone but for those children who love a mental challenge, this is the right program for them!
My son has really enjoyed his time there as it is challenging for him but yet very fun and engaging.
The belt system gives him a target to shoot for and helps him feel a sense of accomplishment.
As a kid who prefers mental challenges to physical activities, this is the ideal place for him!
