Your workers were very friendly and easy to work with. They could have used more training though about how to secure the items in the truck without breaking them. The 2 guys were decent workers. Please train them more so they understand how to haul breakable items
OMG where do I start. The professionalism, the timeliness, the price, the care used when lifting, packing and installing my items in their new location. Everything was perfect!! Nick Doyle and Cory represented College Hunks with total perfection. In the future we won’t used any other moving service.
Thanks guys for helping us Mr. & Mrs. Braden
They are very professional and punctual and courteous. My movers were Chris and Cory they were fantastic willing to answer any questions that I had. I will definitely refer them to my friends and family. Going through the process of moving and getting rid of items in a home it’s already stressful and this company and these guys took all the stress out of the process!!
It was easy to schedule on line. The young man (Chris) I talked to on the phone to confirm was very helpful. The 2 young men (Brandon and Chandler) who came to get the ‘junk’ were efficient, respectful and very nice.
Team did a good job, very energetic and fun group!!!
However, I would recommend the following:
1. Workers should be provided with drop cloths and shoe coverings for inside jobs.
2. Team only had one drill on truck and its battery was getting low. It was last job of day and it was a big job so to ensure they could finish, I provided them with a second drill.
The hunks were nice guys. They worked hard. Not very experienced with some of the odd things I had them move. They got the job done, however. They were running behind which caused them to be in a rush while moving heavy items. Not taking their time for some of these things may result in injury in the future if not careful.
They were late for my job. Arrived just outside of 8-10am window. This caused them running late to their next job. I had additional work that they could have performed. Maybe they need fewer bookings or more associates.
The cost was not that straightforward. The charges for disposing of concrete were different than for wood which was not explained over the phone. They charge concrete by the pickup truckload. They wanted almost $500 to remove the concrete. It took me 30 mins to put it in my trailer and drop it off at Phoenix stone nearby for $20. It was around 3000lbs.
They also bill the workers out at $155 per 3 workers so $50 per college student seemed a bit steep. Like more than I bill out per hour having received a college degree. The cost was way more than I was expecting for the actual removal and disposal of the items which was just wood that I could have chopped up and dropped off in a few hours or had my trash service remove it.
It took them less than an hour to load the items and it filled 1/2 of the truck and I was charged $400. The $98 over the phone for the 1/8 dumpster seemed reasonable. They were there around 2 hours for $600 and then the credit card processing recommends a 20% tip which brought it to around $720.
In some instances, the service may be useful but carefully consider doing it yourself if you have the means and a bit of extra time. It seems like a lucrative business as most of the things they pick up they can recycle for free, so they are only paying for the labor of the hunks.
