Improve communication. My arrival time was scheduled between 12-2 and I received a call informing me that they were running behind but no real info was provided until I called back to find out how late. Someone would tell me they would check into getting another truck out to me but then not call back to let me know if that would be possible. I kept having to call back to follow up.

Prior to our move on 11/20/2015, both my husband and I had used CH out of the Raleigh area and were absolutely thrilled with the services we received; those two moves were one of the main reasons we chose to use CH for this move. While I was not present for our move on 11/20/2015, my husband was extremely disappointed in the totality of the move and as the recipient of this survey, I feel obligated to share his experience.
First, the younger of the two men was on his phone throughout the day and was more concerned about his plans for Friday night than getting work done, so much so that my husband moved many items and helped just as much as the movers.
Second, I specifically asked for items to be set up. However, when I got home, some things were set up and some things were not. It appeared as if the movers got tired and decided they were finished. Specifically, the bed in the guest room was not put together and neither the washer nor dryer was set up. In my last move, CH attached the washer to the water source and also hooked up the dryer. Now, I will concede that the dryer could not be completely set up as we need a different prong plug, but the vent was left unattached - in complete contrast to my last experience.
Third, many of the boxes, despite being labeled as to what room they belonged in, were in the incorrect location.
Fourth, we sustained damages to furniture and to our home. Our dresser was dropped and now has a large chunk of wood missing from the front of it. It is my understanding that this was not met with much concern; instead, my husband was told, "it shouldn't be hard to fix." Quite frankly, that is unacceptable. In addition, we have a missing piece of ceiling at the bottom of our staircase from it being hit with a piece of furniture.
Finally, during a pre-move conversation with your company, my husband arranged for some "junk" to also be taken away so we did not have to worry about it. However, at the end of the day, the movers advised my husband that they didn't have time to return to the house we were moving out of to get the items, but we could arrange another time for CH to come out there to get the items. Why, when we specifically arranged for items to be taken away on the same day we were moving (for efficiency and stress-free moving) would we want to schedule another time, for an additional fee? That makes absolutely no sense. Now, one of my co-workers is having to donate his time and truck so that we can get rid of those items. In addition, we are having to expend more time and energy than we had specifically arranged for.
In conclusion, nothing about my husband's day on 11/20/2015 was stress-free, which is in direct contradiction to the entire reason we hired CH. Perhaps it is because we are no longer in the Raleigh area and were serviced by a different CH office; if that is the case, then the CH office that serviced us is in grave need of an overhaul. For $800+, I do not expect to come home to an aggravated, upset, frustrated, and exhausted husband. While I do not anticipate moving for many years, I am certain that we will not be using CH for our next move. We originally chose CH because of a referral from a friend, which proves that the word of mouth is a powerful tool. I am the first one to praise a business when they have earned it because I appreciate the value of good services as they are often hard to come by these days, but I do not give praise flippantly; it must be EARNED. Only our first two experiences with CH were positive; therefore, since two out of three is 66%, the only thing CH earned on 11/20/2015 was a failing grade.

I was due to receive a delivery of new furniture and found out that they would not remove the old furniture. Within 20 minutes, I was able to do a search, learn about CollegeHunks.com, and book an appointment for 4 hours later! Problem solved. I received two calls to confirm the appointment and when they were on their way. They arrived and the furniture was on the truck and on its way to Goodwill within 15 minutes. Very impressive.

This was the most awesome moving company! The movers were timely, courteous, and despite the big task at hand, genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. They were very polite and made what could have been a stressful experience, one that went smoothly and carefree. I could not have asked for a better customer service experience!

The customera service was outstanding! The two guys that moved us, Aaron and Joshua were awesome and worked so hard to help us get everything done. I would absolutely recommend College Hunks Moving to anyone that is moving!
I liked that I went online and scheduled my service and the next day they called about 30 minutes before the time they were scheduled to be there and told us they were on the way. There was no waiting all day for someone to show up. The guys were very nice and worked hard while they were here.
Chris and Matt were awesome. They were on time, efficient, caring, courteous, and extremely hardworking! I had a lot of "stuff" to move and not once did I hear a grumble or complaint from either. They took great care of my furniture and house as not to damage anything. will definitely recommend Colege Hunks and I would tell anyone in my area to ask for Chris and Matt.
