Re: Feedback for Junk Removal Job
I just had a pick-up done this morning on Saturday, July 11, 2015. It included a refrigerator freezer, console television, some lamps, a fan, and a box of small household appliances.
I would like to make the following comments:
•I was charged a fee for electronic recycling. This was not disclosed to me when I made my reservation. It was not also mentioned in my email confirmation nor on the website www.collegehunkshaulingjunk.com When I told this to Dylan, the driver, he showed me a document that had these fees handwritten. I told him that it was not good business to have these not disclosed on my email confirmation or on the website. He felt perturbed and said that I can take my business elsewhere if I didn't pay these recycling fees. And these fees were not part of the $125 minimum pick-up charge.
•I felt that Dylan did not give me the great customer service that I had read in the many comments in that section of your website. In fact, he was ready to walk away and said that he did not need this. He did catch me by surprise. Throughout the last several weeks I have been cleaning and sorting things in my mom's house. She passed away on January 18. During those several weeks, I have had the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Salvation Army making numerous pick-ups and all their staff members were very polite and courteous and I was impressed with the respect that I was given by all. I wish that I could say the same with Dylan, your driver. But he made me feel like a low class citizen and bullied me into paying the recycling fees. What was I to do? . . . I'm moving in the next few days and these items had to go out . . . it was too late to call another company.
•I do want to comment that your other staff member, Chantz, was just the opposite . . . he was very courteous, polite, and respectful.
Well, I don't want to take away too much of your time . . . I just felt like I had to make these comments to you.

The service was excellent, from the beginning call placed to the movers arrival. The movers arrived within the designated time frame, quickly and carefully moved the furniture,and were polite. All of this matters to customers, which will result in recommendations from me.
Everything! I received friendly service starting with the first phone call to get information about the company and setting up the appt. followed up with an e-mail to confirm the day and time. The two well-mannered, friendly gentlemen showed up on time, and loaded the truck in a quick and professional manner. The cost was reasonable for the amount I needed hauled away. I will definitely use them again in the future. 😃
