EVERYTHING!! The two young men, Darnell and Max, were amazing; nice, professional and personable!! They arrived, took the items, gave me coupons, took a picture (?), and were absolutely great! I have been recommending them for those who are thinking of cleaning up/out and/or moving!
The young men, Josh Howsmon and Daylen Dean, were very personable, clean cut, hard working, and very attentive to detail/my instructions about placements and adjustments. They went out of their way to help me with anything they could to make it easier. There were a few large, heavy pieces coming from the upstairs of the old house with a difficult stairwa (one monster solid wood storage bed and dresser, and a hospital bed), with washer/dryer going to the new house basement, all of which were handled swiftly and efficiently. I never saw them take a break, they worked continuously and pleasantly (even when their boss, Cliff Cooper showed up). We were extremely pleased with their service and would jump at the chance to hire them again if we would have to move again. Josh is an experienced "hunk" and Daylen will refine his skills with experience and Josh's guidance, I'm sure.
I was originally told the truck they were sending was 440 sq ft and to clean out the property it would probably take one and 1/2 trucks - or about $900 total. When the guys finished the 1st and 2nd floor cleanout and were leaving - they told me the charge would be over $950 - without even cleaning out the basement. They told me they brought a different truck that was larger and much more expensive than the truck I was quoted. I don't feel this is a very good business practice and would consider it a bait and switch tactic. Not pleased at all. To make things right - I think you should complete the job (cleaning out the basement) at no additional charge. Jim Cordes
bring your own clean up equipment (brooms, rakes, dustpan) and extension cords for equipment instead of using whatever the customer has. Need a little improvement with clean up. I was surprised how much destruction was involved in removing an old hot tub.
It has been two weeks since our move in which furniture and walls were damaged. While I have had one call from the local office, no one has contacted me about repairs. This is not consistent with the type of customer service that was described by the College Hunks website or the representative who explained the service. This has been very disappointing.
During the move, the movers themselves were wonderful. They were pleasant, eager to please and hard working. Before the move, the supervisor, Mike Darling, was always available to answer questions and to problem solve. AFTER the move, however, everything broke down. Four large boxes were left on the wrong floor (I had devised and explained a system that was very clear and easy to follow); two tables were scratched in the move; a key was broken off in my file cabinet, making it unable to open; a wall in my door home was damaged. I have left three messages for Mike Darling, and he has failed to respond. If I do not hear from him tomorrow, I will contact his supervisor and plan my next moves accordingly.
Communication was excellent between Mike, McKayla and our job lead, Tom. The moving job was done quick, efficient all while keeping a smile and friendly demeanor. I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend to friends/family. Thank you for a positive experience!
I tried calling Marty and the mailbox was full.....I wanted to tell her how much I truly appreciate your company. Esteban and Troy were the two young men that came to pick up our sofa and loveseat-THEY WERE FANTASTIC!!!!! So personable and polite......I will recommend your company to everybody that I know-they say life is all about timing and I am so glad that I found you when I did-EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY!!!!
