Gross underestimate of time and service. Poor communication before and during, so I would know what to expect. Unloading was without direction, several heavy thing left in garage that I can't move. Essential items hidden deep in pile. Items transported that I specifically requested be left behind. Several items left behind I had to transport myself. Took 2 days, not 6 hours. Day 2 4th person added to help pack, very little packing done. Commitments made by 1st crew not executed by 2nd crew. This was the worst experience of my life
I specifically went with this company because I needed two services at the same time. I needed 2/3 of my things moved and 1/3 sent to Goodwill. I was quoted an hourly rate for both services and advised that the guys would load Goodwill on the truck first and then my things after that for the move. When the team arrived, I was advised that I'd been quoted wrong and they couldn't do the Goodwill part of it because it should have been priced by volume. I spoke to the team captain's boss. He was polite, but advised that I'd have to pay an hourly rate for the move and then he'd try to help me with pricing on the Goodwill move. The crew didnt arrive until 330pm even though I was advised it would be 1:30pm. They didn't have time to do the move and Goodwill anyway. Today, I still have a house with items that need to go to charity. The rates paid were more expensive than other moving companies as well. I was willing to pay the higher rate for the convenience of two services that I never received.
The movers were fine, it was just too expensive to have two sofas moved to Goodwill. Unfortunately for me, I did not and could not get an estimate beforehand. Apparently that is the way the company works.
This was a really big project; removing an in-ground hot tub. The guys stuck with it until is was completed. They absolutely cleaned everything up so there was nothing to worry about. Polite, timely and worked quickly. I will definitely call for projects again.
It was a very stressful move for me. The guys were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I was very worried that all of my belongings would not fit into storage and they did a GREAT job of carefully organizing everything so it would fit. They also came in under estimate!
Quick response to web inquiry - got a call within 15 minutes of posting a quote request. Customer service was thorough and thoughtful when filling my request for moving help. The "hunks" that came out were friendly, professional and very efficient.
Talked to guys who had just finished working at next door neighbor's house, was given a ballpark idea of cost. When guys showed up next day, they gave us 2 or 3 different prices, all of which were considerably more than what we had been told. Would be nice if pricing was more transparent to avoid any confusion. On the plus side, they were done in 5-10 minutes.
Couple of issue.
1. have glass table tops. these tops have little suctions disc between wood base and top. Missing two when unpacking
2. Items left at the start location. After finishing move, realized that the microwave oven and the front closet where missed.
3. New place was freshly painted, asked to be very careful of the walls. When placing dresser in bedroom, dented wall. Then the other mover put something to lean against a stand that also put in the room causing the stand to hit the wall.
4. Was told that they are not suppose to move plants. But since this was a tip based job, they would do - (hint hint for a tip)
5. They driver hinted about a tip on a few other occasions during the loading.
I did give the guys a $50 tip. I was going to do that with or the hints. I actually was thinking of reducing because of the hints.
