It's the best mix of movement and stretching in ways I wouldn't otherwise. The routines are great - they are enjoyable, unique, they push me but not too far, and modifications are always allowed as needed. There's lots of flexibility in how you go through the class in the way that's best for you. I also love all the instructors I've had in Old Town :)
I love the Sunday community classes. Ryan is the best, and it’s one of the only times of the week that I am able to catch up with my friends. It’s such a great way to recenter and get ready for the week ahead
Great class format and instructors. I'm a big fan!
That said, I think the studio could use a couple improvements:
1. The women's locker room continues to be way too small for class capacity. I often see people bump into each other or nearly hit their heads on open lockers. I rarely see the showers used, so think the locker room could be reconfigured to create more space
2. Instructors often struggle to regulate class temperature, especially as the seasons start to change. I suggest that instructors be given wireless temperature and humidity monitors that they can keep at the front of class to better monitor conditions. I've attended a couple classes lately where the classes are way hotter than they're supposed to be. While it's good that instructors ask for a pulse check from the class, students are often reluctant / embarrassed to say it's too hot. It would be better for instructors to have a more objective way to monitor how hot the class is and adjust accordingly.
Instructors Tori and Andrea were amazing at my yoga sculpt classes! I always feel I get a great workout, with great movements and music, and motivation from my instructors.
I love this studio. The instructors are great, the yoga room & locker rooms are always clean. And its a very convenient location for me with public transportation.
