It's the staff that really makes this Y special. Everybody is super helpful and very encouraging. They're willing to take the time to show you how to do things or use a machine. They never act like they are too busy. I really like the fact that everybody says hello to you when you walk in. It's really the staff that makes this special.
The group classes are just what I was looking for to get started moving. Pilates, barre, gentle yoga, older adult strength, and stretch(my favorite so far!) are taught by wonderful instructors. I felt welcomed by friendly people in every class.
Strength, classes, cardio, strength, classes, Zumba, yoga, Pilates. I do wish there were more cardio strength classes instead of just Tuesday and Thursdays during the week I typically don’t work out on Thursdays so I wish they had a Friday class too.
Everything! The Y really cares about the community it serves. The people are kind, the facilities are beautiful, and we have made lifelong friends through our Y membership!
The wide array of activities and the times that they are offered. It would be great to have more cycling offered in the afternoons. Instructors, for the most part, are excellent, especially Anna (cycling Mon and Tues evenings at 5) and Grace (Floor Pilates and Active Senior Strength on Tues AM at 0830 and 0930) are excellent.
Norma’s yoga classes are amazing!
We like that there are so many treadmills and machines to work on. We rarely if ever have an issue finding a free machine. I love the walking programs on the treadmills giving me variety in my workout.
Y instructors are amazing! 99% of the time the staff is cheerful, greet you coming and going, and go out of their way to be helpful if you have a question. In particular, Stacey and Micki are awesome! Their classes are always packed because they come prepared, interact with participants and just make it fun to be there. Thank you “my Y family”!
