Very friendly staff and members. Kylie Riggs is so enthusiastic and cares about each of her students. I wish she did more classes at the Flower Mound Y
Smaller club but well configured with equipment, workout rooms, Gym, summer pool which fits the smaller level of attendance compared to other Y's I have used in the Metroplex - The age level also seems to be older compared to other Y's which makes this one a little quieter and less constrained
My husband and I just joined in June. This facility is clean and has a friendly and helpful staff. We go nearly everyday and never have to wait to use the treadmills or cycles. They have a good variety of classes as well. Glad we joined👍
The place is very clean. There are enough machines that I've never had to wait for one, no matter what time of day. The front desk staff is welcoming and friendly.
Our boys had such a great time at Camp on the Lake. They loved trying new water activities like sailing and tubing. It was such a great way to introduce them to some of the activities that they'll take part in at YMCA Camp Grady Spruce.
The swim instructor Sergio did a great job. My 2 children were a bit nervous, but he made it fun for them. They had a great time and improved their swim strokes and diving skills.
The equipment is in excellent condition. The entire staff treats everyone like family. I especially appreciate the chair yoga & mobility instructor. She is 1 of the reasons I come to this site.
My kids were at first reluctant to go. We had already signed up for various sports camps weekly and were initially more interested in those camps. But once they got their feet wet at YMCA camp on the lake, they loved it so much they asked to go back again. They met new friends, enjoyed a bunch of different activities they would not have experienced otherwise and enjoyed the outdoors. I highly recommend it to all friends and family
We love our local Y. It’s just a few minutes from our house so it doesn’t feel like a huge slog to get there, and I love everyone who works there. My daughter goes to childcare and everyone is so great with her, which is a huge relief to me because she’s a barnacle baby. They offer a great assortment of classes and my favorite instructor, Kylie, is so knowledgeable about the human body and how it moves. I’m probably the youngest person in most of the classes I attend, and it’s been great to have examples of older women taking care of their bodies in that way. We love the Y so much that I convinced a friend in Rockwall to sign her family up for a membership there, and now we can take classes together when our schedules line up!
