As an outsider I was a little intimidated by CTF, but I joined with a two-week pass to try it.
From the first class my pre-conception was gone! Even though the workouts are hard, you can decide how much you want to push yourself. I started working with the lightest weights and little by little have been improving.
The trainers are incredible, everyone has a different style, but their kindness is a common factor. They push you but don’t humiliate you, they are willing to modify any exercise if you have an injury, and are looking after you throughout the workout.
The people that goes to workout at CTF are always nice too. At the beginning I was always confused and/or lost, and other CTF members never hesitated to help me.
As for CTF staff, they are nice and kind as well!
I never thought I would be one of those people that workout several times a week, but now I am! And it feels wonderful.
Crosstown is my favorite part of the day! Every workout is unique. I’ve neber felt healthier. I no longer have runners knee or lower back pain because I’m working my body out the right way. I love it!!
I do not have to plan a workout that would otherwise take up a lot of time and or space in a regular style (FFC type) gym. I also like being able to use machines that I wouldn't have access to at a normal gym like Assault Bikes and rowing machines.
I absolutely LOVED Crosstown Fitness! The facility was beautiful, and how the day I went, it was sunny and the sun shone right through the windows, and made the workout even better. I loved how each statement had different timing, and different exercises, with different equipment. The workout pushed my physically and mentally, and I left feeling stronger. I absolutely loved my instructor, Alysha Ferry. She was motivating and welcoming, and walked around the room to make sure everyone was doing the exercises correctly. I will definitely be back!
Love going to CTF! If you go consistently you will see results quickly. What I love about it is that they really allow you to go at your own pace, but are really great at encouraging you to push yourself. Stephanie and Liu are my two favorite coaches. They play the best music and they are also really great motivators. I definitely get the best workout in their classes because they make me want to challenge myself.
